Welcome to Term Four! We hope you all had a super half term break and enjoyed eating all those pancakes!
The children have returned to school well and quickly settled back into their routines and were all pleased to see their lovely friends.
This term our themes are 'Food' and 'Easter'. We will be looking at the stories, 'Handa's Surprise' , 'Oliver's Vegetables' and 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' before we move on to the Christian celebration of Easter.
As part of our food theme we will be writing recipes, making soup, weaving with paper, ordering days of the week, writing our own version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and even vegetable printing. We will also be thinking carefully about how we can keep our bodies healthy and which foods are good fuels for us.
Our Easter celebrations will involve sharing the Easter story, baking Hot Cross Buns, an Easter Egg hunt and decorating eggs. We also hope to visit the Church for a traditional Palm Cross service.
Mrs Evans is joining us for our PE lessons this term (now on a Thursday) and Miss Csiba continues to teach our music lessons.
The children are working really hard with their phonics and maths, please do keep up the support at home, is really does benefit your child so much and sharing a story is such a special time.
As always, please pop in if you have an questions or queries and we look forward to seeing parents and carers again at our parent's evenings if not before.
