Year 1 Timetable

Session 1: Phonics Session 2: English Session 3: Maths Session 4:  Session 5: Additional Activities

We are finishing the week reviewing what we know about the /oo/, (y)oo and /ow/ phonemes.

1. Choose a game to play on Phonics Play - phase 5.

2. Complete the worksheet. Make sure you are reading the sentences to a grown up or member of your family.

This week we are going to be working on our grammar skills.

For today's task, you are going to put all of the learning from this week into practise. Think back to the information about the Inuit people from Monday's lesson.

You are going to write at least 5 sentences about the Inuit people. Start by thinking carefully about what you want to write and say each sentence out loud to make sure it makes sense. Can you include 'and' to join some of your ideas together? As you are writing, remember to include finger spaces in the correct places.

As always, if you are unable to print the sheet, you can record your sentences on your own sheet of paper.

1. Warm up your Maths brain with the BBC Supermovers - The 5 times table with the Posh Pooch.

2. Work through the PowerPoint below - make sure you pause after each question slide to give yourself chance to answer  (the answer slides follow each time).

3. Choose a worksheet to complete - there is a 1, 2 or 3 star challenge available.

Remember, if you are unable to print the worksheets, you can work from the screen to answer the questions on your own sheet of paper.

Use this session to continue with your model habitat.  Have you added everything from your design?  Do you need to watch the presentation again to find out how to attach parts to your model?

There are pictures of animals on yesterday's page for some of the habitats, or you can draw your own or make them with modelling clay.

We look forward to seeing the pictures of your habitats!

Read to your grown up.

Play on Numbots for 10 minutes.  Have you moved up a level this week?

Year 2 Timetable

Session 1: Spellings Session 2: English Session 3: Maths Session 4: Session 5: Additional Activities

Today we are thinking about the common exception words on our spelling list.

Complete the worksheets.  What are the tricky bits in these words?  Have you remembered they all  have the same spelling pattern?

Don't forget to ask your grown up to test you on this week's spellings.

For today's task, you are going to put all of the learning from this week into practise. Think back to the information about the Inuit people from Monday's lesson.

You are going to write at least 6 sentences about the Inuit people. Start by thinking carefully about what you want to write and say each sentence out loud to make sure it makes sense. Can you include 'and' to join some of your ideas together? As you are writing, remember to include finger spaces in the correct places.

Remember to use the word bank you created on Monday.  Copy these words carefully to make sure you get the spelling correct.

As always, if you are unable to print the sheet, you can record your sentences on your own sheet of paper.

Today we are thinking about the ten times table.

1. Start by warming up with Webster the spider at BBC Supermovers.

2. Watch the video.  Pause it to make sure you have time to answer the questions.

3. Complete the worksheet.  Remember you can use practical resources to help you.
