Welcome to 2LR's webpage!
Class 2LR is a family of hard-working, determined and eager to learn Year 3 and Year 4 children. We always try our best in everything that we do and also have lots of fun along the way! We are taught by Mr Rollinson and are lucky to have Mrs Webb and Mrs Cooper as our Teaching Assistants, who are there to support us with all sorts of things.
Physical Education:
Our PE days for Term 2 are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During these sessions we will be progressing in our orienteering and tag rugby skills. Please ensure school PE kit is washed for Tuesdays and that appropriate sports attire or washed PE kit, is still worn on Thursday.
Water Bottles:
Please send your child's water bottle in with them every day- they need enough water to last the whole day if possible. We will send them home every afternoon to be washed, refilled and returned the following day - plain water only please.
Homework:
Your child will have English and maths homework to complete each week. Maths homework will be collected on Mondays, and be returned on Wednesday. English homework is collected on Wednesdays and will be returned on Friday.
Spellings:
Each week your child will be given a set of spellings to practise. They need to complete these in their planners provided by the school. The children should have completed each set of spellings ready to be tested on their spellings on Fridays.
Reading
Due to the current circumstances the children are only able to change their school reading book on Thursdays. It is important that the children read as much as possible and we ask that the children read at least is three times a week - planners will be checked each Friday. Please ensure that books are returned before a new reading book can be taken.
Starting and Finishing times
Please ensure children are dropped off between 8:35-8:45 and are collected at 3:15. It is essential you are on time to avoid any contact with other bubbles.
Please do ask if you have any questions.
02/11/20: PE has changed from Wednesday to Thursday. Our PE days are now Tuesday and Thursday to allow time for PE kit to be washed.
02/11/20: Children are allowed to bring in their own wipeable pencil cases (empty). We shall fill them with school equipment, however, these must stay in school.
02/11/20: Please ensure warmer clothing is worn as the temperature begins to decrease. Coats need to be brought into school.
02/11/20: Children need to be practising Timetables as often as possible. Please use TT Rockstars (logins will be on the back of planners).
09/11/20: Parent's evening appointments booking will start later this week. Please keep an eye out for Parentmail to book a telephone appointment.
23/11/20: If you are completing home learning, please email work across to: classrollinson@st-andrews-woodhall.lincs.sch.uk - I am also happy to take any questions about learning being completed at home. Please try the best you can, as all home learning shadows what we are completing in the classroom.
07/12/20: Christmas Jumper day (non uniform) is on this Friday, 11th of December! No donations are required to be brought into school.
