Mrs Keegan and Mrs Ruddock
Welcome to our class page and thank you for looking. On this page Mrs Keegan and I will endeavour to keep you up to date with news from our classroom. As always if you have any questions please speak to Mrs Keegan, myself or Miss Steele (our excellent teaching assistant).
Good morning, we are aware that Tapestry is having some issues keeping up with the demand especially this morning. Tapestry have people trying to sort it ASAP but like them, I apologise for the disruption this is causing. I am hopeful it will be resolved soon and in the meantime I will try to add lessons via our webpage below.
Thank you for your understanding and I hope you are all well.
School or Bubble Closure
In the event of school closure or 'bubble closure', all home learning will be via Tapestry, please log on to your account to access lessons and resources. Many thanks.
Mrs Ruddock teaches Monday to Thursday and Mrs Keegan teaches our class on a Friday.
Miss Steele is our teaching assistant and she will be working with the class all week.
We usually change reading scheme and school library books on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday though we do ask for book bags and the pupil planner to be brought into school everyday.
Our PE day is Thursday, children should come to school in their PE kits on this day. Our PE lessons will be outside so please wear school sweatshirt as well.
Each child was given a water bottle at the beginning of the year and we ask that these are taken home, washed, refilled (with still plain water only) and brought back the next day.
We also ask children to bring in a pair of named welly boots to stay in school. These can be left on the welly rack in the outdoor classroom.
Please can parents and carers make sure all their child's belongings are named, from gloves to water bottles and coats! Thank you for your help with this.
EYFS Reception Reading Meeting information
Under normal circumstances, in early September, Mrs Ruddock would lead a parent/carers' meeting to introduce reading for our new Reception cohort. Due to current restrictions, we are obviously unable to hold the face-to-face meeting this year, however please find below a copy of the slides. Further information regarding supporting your child with reading at home can be found on the information sheet in your child's bookbag. If you have any further questions regarding reading, then please do not hesitate to ask.
