What can you remember about our alterative spelling this week?

On the worksheet, or on your own paper write the words adding in the correct graphemes.

 

We are looking at alternative spellings for the /r/ phoneme today.

Our first text this term is 'Hansel and Gretel' by Anthony Browne. 

 

This week we are going to closely explore the text - today and tomorrow's lessons will focus on retelling the story. You will be planning your retelling in today's session.

 

You will need to watch the PowerPoint below (make sure you have the sound on).

1. Warm up your Maths brain with the BBC Supermovers - Number bonds with Martin Dougan

 

2. Work through the PowerPoint below - make sure you pause after each question slide to give yourself chance to answer  (the answer slides follow each time).

 

3. Choose a worksheet to complete - there is a 1, 2 or 3 star challenge available. 

 

Remember, if you are unable to print the worksheets, you can work from the screen to answer the questions on your own sheet of paper.

 

Our RE this term will look at the question Why does Easter Matter to Christians?

 

Start by looking at the presentation below.

 

When you have finished, don't forget to write down what you already know about Easter and your first thoughts about why it is important to Christians.

You may also want to go for a walk to look for signs of spring and Easter too.

Read to your grown up.

Remember if you are given words in a word bank they need to be copied carefully.

2. Watch the video about dividing by 2.  Make sure you pause the video when asked.

 

3. Complete the worksheet, or look on screen and answer the questions using your own paper.
