Week 3 (WC: 18/01/21)

Hello 2LR!

First of all, thank you to all parents for your continued support throughout these difficult and rather strange times. I have read some amazing emails over the last week, you are doing such an amazing job at supporting your children!

Secondly, well done to all of 2LR who have continued to produce some amazing home learning! Please keep forwarding on work to: classrollinson@st-andrews-woodhall.lincs.sch.uk so I can have a look through the fantastic things you're doing at home.

A few generic questions and changes from last week:

- Hopefully the videos are helping with home learning, it is something I am passionate about continuing on with to make learning at home as easy as possible!

- This week we will be rolling out a weekly Microsoft Teams meeting with the children. This will be an opportunity for the children to interact with me and more importantly each other. Details are soon to follow via ParentMail, so please keep an eye out for this!

Below I have added our weekly timetable with a briefing of what we shall be covering this week, these will be all the lessons we shall be covering throughout the week. Hopefully the videos will continue to be a success following last week.

Please try your best to complete the work set - As you all know, it follows what we're doing in the classroom!

I shall continue to attach a 'Self Regulation' chart - this is a little bit like house points, but with 5 to be scored per lesson! I have seen plenty of high scores, so I am glad this is working!

Please keep yourselves safe, and you will see me virtually, very soon.

Start your day in a mindful way...

This week, a Healthy Minds Practitioner talks you through the square breathing technique which can help to reduce the physical feelings of stress and worry.

We have a page dedicated to Emotional, Social and Mental Wellbeing on our school website. Click the image above to explore the resources. This week, we would like you to watch the short video, introduced by the Duchess of Cambridge.
