Week beginning Monday 11 May 2020
Good morning Class EJ!
I hope you have had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend with your families. Did you manage to enjoy some VE Day celebrations at home? We had a front lawn picnic, along with the rest of our street. The bunting, balloons and flags (along with the glorious sunshine!) made it a lovely event - even if we can't celebrate with the rest of our friends and family as usual.
As with last week, if you click on the relevant year group below, you will find a weekly overview of possible activities to work on this week. As always, these activities are just suggestions for you to use as you see fit. You may wish to use the given structure, if it works for your family, or alternatively you may use the links to dip into if needed – do what is best for you.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via our class email: email@example.com. Please keep sending across the fabulous news, home learning and photographs. Over the course of last week, I have enjoyed hearing lots more exciting news from Class EJ members. This included, news of the Tooth Fairy visiting someone for the first time, birthday celebrations and even a new bakery business - and judging by the photographs of the cakes, it will be a huge success in the future!
Stay safe and keep well
From Mrs Jackson (and of course the two Reggie’s and Ted!)
This week's learning focus
As promised, we are returning to our theme of dragons for this week's learning focus. Reggie has chosen one of his favourite stories, 'There is No Dragon in this Story' by Lou Carter and Deborah Allwright for our English work focus. We will use parts of this text for the next two weeks. We are also going to return to some of our Science work linked to plants and growing.
