Covid-19 related absence:

Year 1 learners - If you are currently isolating at home, and are feeling well enough, please use the activities on this page to continue your learning - it is closely aligned to the work you would be completing in the classroom.

Then, complete the activity below - you could either print the sheet and cut the pictures out to reorder them correctly or label each picture with the correct number.

Geography:

Use the BBC link to explore the coldest continent, Antarctica - there are three videos with plenty of information for you to discover.

1. Spelling test - as it is Friday, please ask an adult at home to test you on this week's spellings - hopefully you have practised each day. Afterwards, ask an adult to email your scores to our class email address.

 

Handwriting focus:

1. Warm up your muscles with this fun BBC Supermovers song 

2. Complete the handwriting sheet- remember to refer to the letter formation guide.

Wellbeing: Remember, it is important to keep your body and mind healthy - especially when things are a little bit different at the moment. 

An important part of keeping a healthy mind and body is getting enough sleep.

Start by watching this BBC clip. Then, why not have a go at a simple memory game like in the video. You could also draw a picture to help remind others about the importance of sleep.
