Well done on gaining your Blue Peter Badge for your NHS rainbow picture, Poppy! We are so proud of you.

Parents and carers - For our Year 6 Leavers PowerPoint presentation/film , please could you email one photograph of your child either on their first day at school or a photo of them at age 4 or 5 years by 3 July. In addition, please could you also email one photograph of them at their current age. If you email the photographs to us, we will take this as you giving your consent for us to use them on our Year 6 Leavers PowerPoint presentation/film.

 

We currently now have 19 photos and still need another 13. Please keep emailing them. We would like to share all of the lovely photos that have been emailed in with others we have from over the years, as well as video messages from the staff. We shall be putting them all together to make a Year 6 Leavers video for you all to enjoy.

Please find below a timetable of activities for this week. We had some more lovely feedback from parents last week on the biographies on Charles Dickens  - well done Year 6's, you produced some excellent writing and we are really proud of how hard you are all working in these tricky circumstances. Keep going with your brilliant work!

 

Thank you so much to those parents/carers who emailed work in for us to give feedback.  The same as previous weeks, please could you continue to either take a photo and attached it to an email, or simply forward your work if completed electronically, of your completed English work - a non chronological report on earthquakes - which should be completed by Friday. We will then email parents/carers back with feedback comments which can be passed onto you. You do not need to email your amended version back to us when you have finished your final version.

 

Remember - if you wish to complete other activities, there are many more resources on the main class web page for 2EM. Please scroll all the way to the bottom so you don't miss any recently added resources. Please remember to keep reading and working on your common exception words for spelling too.

 

English this week includes some comprehension and spelling sheets which you can complete either on a printed version of the sheet or write out the work from the sheet. Your report on earthquakes which is based on information from a bbc video, should include an introduction and at least four further paragraphs on: what earthquakes are, how earthquakes occur, where in the world earthquakes are located and a paragraph of your choice. Remember - you can research this further if you wish and add more information from your research. Your text should include five paragraphs in total, however you can expand and add more if you wish. 

 

Maths this week is from the CGP Maths book which we regularly use in school. 

 

I have added the pdf resources below the table for the Maths sheets and will add the answer pages for you to mark your own work on Monday.

* where in the world earthquakes are located

* a paragraph of your choice.

Remember, non chronological reports can be read in any order, except for the introduction. Write the headings down when making notes to help you keep a focus on what you are writing about.
