Week Beginning 4th May 2020

Hello all, I hope you are well and have had a super weekend.  As I wrote on Friday, from now I will move to setting work on a weekly basis.  This will be inline with the other classes and it means you can plan your week ahead.

There is a lot here (and it looks more because it's a week's worth!) All the green writing is a link to another website.  Please remember to do what you can.  We know that everyone's home is different and these are unusual times.  Some of you will be able to be online and working with your child and can dip in and out all day.  Other families have siblings, other family members to consider and work too.  Please just do what you can.  If possible prioritise the phonics, English and maths but cuddles, fun, lots of playing games and being outside if you can are important too.

As always, don't forget your High Frequency words are in your planners along with some super phonics tips and list.

A lot of the work is online based.  Please remember to only go online with an adult.  We need to keep you safe on the internet a much as in the real world!  There are lots of handy tips on the CEOPS website. There is a special home learning unit too.

For any of the tasks, use your writing book if you need to.  If you feel you need extra phonics work, the BBC site is good too and goes through the phonemes one at a time. These phase 3 phonemes have all been taught in class but this is a nice way to recap as well as the activity below.

If the phonics lesson in the timetable below is too easy (for a few of you it may be) try the Year One lessons,  these are uploaded on the same website at 10.30 each day.

Please make sure you read and do some exercise everyday.  You can keep going with Joe Wicks, go for a walk, try Cosmic Yoga or one of Andy's Wild Workouts.

One last thing!  A very Happy Birthday to Miss R on Tuesday.  I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating.  We have lots of birthday based activities this week....I wonder if they knew?!

Have a great week and we hope to see you all very soon.
