Music Tuition

Lincolnshire Music Service

Musical instrument tuition at St. Andrew's School is offered to children in KS2 by Lincolnshire Music Service (LMS). LMS tutors visit school weekly to deliver instrumental and singing lessons to children on an individual or shared basis.

If your child is interested in starting lessons, please follow this link to the LMS website for further information https://lincsmusicservice.org/for-schools/learn-an-instrument/

You will need to email LMS at musicservice@lincolnshire.gov.uk to register your child's interest. Ensure you include the name of our school, your child's preferred instrument and the type of lessons you are looking for (individual/shared).

Invoices are issued from LMS directly and usually payable before the start of term (unless you have an individual payment plan in place). Your child's sheet music, attendance, teacher feedback and the lesson invoices will be issued to you via LMS 'Speed Admin' online account.

If your child is eligible for free school meals, please ensure you notify LMS. He/she will be entitled to free instrument hire plus a 50% discount on lessons. Full details of financial help available is detailed on the LMS 'Financial Support' webpage https://lincsmusicservice.org/for-schools/instrument-purchase-hire-2/

Rocksteady

Our Rocksteady tutor, Joseph, is in school every Wednesday afternoon to provide children with the opportunity to play an instrument in their very own band. No experience is necessary.

Parents/carers need to register their child's interest with Rocksteady, who will contact you regarding availability.
