Teaching Assistant

Annual Salary:       £18,562pa FTE equating to approx. £4,738pa pro rata

Part time post:      10 hours per week – term time only.

Working Pattern:   1:00pm until 3:00pm five days a week.

 

St Andrew’s C.E. Primary School is a happy, positive school to work in, with a dedicated team who support each other in a close and caring family atmosphere. We believe in enriching the school life of every pupil, and we need a Teaching Assistant to work with a child with special educational needs in our Reception Class. The prospective post holder will be given support and guidance from our friendly and committed staff.


It is essential that the applicant has recent experience of working with children, as well as an understanding of how to support children with special needs. For this post, a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is required and GCSE grade C in both Maths and English (or equivalent) is essential. Relevant training will be provided by outside agencies.


This post is temporary and is dependent on the needs of the child or until the child leaves the St Andrew’s CE Primary School.

 

Candidates should be professional, understanding issues of confidentiality and the need to protect the welfare of children.
