School Caretaker – Permanent Position
£19,819 – £22,401 full time equivalent (37 hrs/week + 52 weeks/year)
Equating to approx:
£14,589 per annum based 30hrs/week + 47.69 paid weeks/year
Working Pattern during term time: 7am until 9am and 3pm until 6pm + evening lettings. (Working hours may be negotiable and flexible working is available in the school holidays.)
St Andrew’s C.E. Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic School Caretaker to join our friendly staff team.
This is a key role that would suit somebody with excellent DIY skills. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, using initiative and being proactive in dealing with tasks. You will need to have the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, be personable and liaise effectively with contractors. A knowledge of Health & Safety at work would be desirable, although training will be provided.

Candidates should be physically fit, with a can-do attitude. Ideally, they will have experience in a trade or grounds maintenance. Previous school experience is not essential for this post, although an understanding of how to work safely around children is essential.
