Enriching Lives

Courage is:

Carrying on when things are difficult

Overcoming fear

Understanding and facing a challenge

Risking being out of your comfort zone

Always believing in God's promises

Going for a goal

Empowered by encouragement

' Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.'

               Joshua 1.9

Mark Twain David Viscott Andre Gide Mary Anne Radmacher
Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the acting in spite of it. If you have the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. A person cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.

Dear Lord:

Give us the strength to face challenges.

Help us to remeber that sometimes we need to take small steps to begin with,

but it's starting the journey that matters.

Thank you that just as you promised to be with Moses,

You have also promised to be with us

wherever the journey leads us.
