Mrs Leeson & Mrs Leggate - 2LL
Welcome to 2LL Class Webpage!
Welcome to Class 2LL's class page. We are an enthusiastic and hardworking group of Year 3 and 4 children who are keen to learn new things and improve on our current learning!
Our class teachers are Mrs Leeson and Mrs Leggate and we are also really lucky to have support from Mrs Jayawardena, Mrs Plater, Mrs Busby and Miss Kingswood and Mrs Lauder for Spanish and Mrs Haslam for guided reading.
General Information
Reading:
The school library is open every morning, but on Wednesday we need to bring our book back so that it can be either signed out again or changed. In our planners, we write a brief comment about what we have been reading, note down the page numbers we have read and ask an adult from home to sign the relevant part. Mrs Leeson will collect our reading diaries on a Monday morning to check they have been signed. The school expectation is for reading diaries to be signed at least 3 times a week. It is important to bring our school bags to school everyday to collect letters and other important information.
Maths Homework:
We are set maths homework on Times Table Rockstars every Monday. We need to complete 30 minutes of practise each week.
Spellings:
Our weekly spellings are given out at the beginning of the term. We practise our spellings in our yellow spelling homework folder which should be returned to school each Friday. For additional practise, there are a variety of differentiated games online on the Spelling Shed webpage. Spelling tests will take place on a Friday - these will be completed in our yellow spelling folders so parents can see how we have done.
PE:
We need to come to school in our PE kits on Tuesday and Thursday. It is very important that all of our belongings are clearly named. If we are wearing earrings, we need to ensure that we are able to remove them for PE or ask our parents/carers to provide tape for them to be covered up to meet health and safety recommendations. If we have hair below our shoulders, it should be tied back for PE and our tights should be replaced with socks for PE lessons.
Staying healthy:
It is important that we bring a water bottle to school every day, filled with fresh water. In addition, we are allowed to bring a healthy snack for break time if we wish. These snacks should meet the agreed list: fruit, vegetables, cheese or yoghurt.
